Privacy Policy

BanishSubs keeps manually entered subscription records on your device. Limited purchase and support information may be processed only as described in this Policy.

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to the BanishSubs mobile application and related support or website pages operated for the App. It explains what information is stored locally, what limited information may be processed by app stores or purchase infrastructure, and how you can contact us about privacy questions.

2. Privacy-First, Local-First Design

BanishSubs is designed so that the subscription records you enter remain on your device. Lumivera Solutions Inc. does not operate a cloud service that stores your subscription list, provider names, renewal dates, costs, categories, notes, or locally generated recommendation details.

We cannot view, retrieve, edit, or delete the subscription records stored locally on your device because we do not receive them.

3. Information You Store Locally

The App may store the following information locally on your device when you choose to enter or generate it:

  • Subscription provider names, categories, billing cycles, amounts, currencies, renewal dates, trial status, cancellation status, and notes
  • Reminder preferences, notification timing, and local app settings
  • Rule-based recommendation states, action statuses, completed/skipped action history, and savings estimates
  • Backup or export files that you create or restore using App features, where available

4. Information We Do Not Collect From the App

We do not collect or receive the subscription records you enter into the App. We also do not collect the following through the App:

  • Your manually entered subscription list, renewal dates, subscription costs, notes, or categories
  • Your bank account details, payment card numbers, or payment credentials
  • Precise location data
  • Contacts, photos, files, emails, calendar content, or browsing history from your device
  • Advertising identifiers for targeted advertising
  • Behavioral analytics or advertising tracking events

5. Purchases and Entitlement Validation

If you purchase Lifetime Pro or another paid feature, the transaction is processed by Apple through the App Store or by Google through Google Play. We do not receive your full payment card or banking information.

The App may use RevenueCat, a third-party purchase management service, to validate purchases, manage entitlements, prevent duplicate unlock issues, and allow purchase restoration. For this purpose, purchase-related data such as product identifiers, transaction or receipt tokens, entitlement status, store platform, purchase dates, currency, country or region information provided by the store, and an app-generated or service-generated anonymous identifier may be processed by RevenueCat and the relevant app store.

This purchase-related information is used to determine whether premium features are active. It is not used by us for advertising or selling personal information.

6. App Store and Google Play Distribution Data

Apple and Google may provide developers with aggregated, non-identifying reports about installs, sales, proceeds, crashes, ratings, refunds, and general app performance. These reports are governed by Apple’s and Google’s own terms and privacy policies. We do not receive your full payment details from Apple or Google.

7. Notifications

If you enable reminders, the App schedules notifications using your device operating system based on information stored locally on your device. Reminder content and subscription renewal data are not sent to Lumivera Solutions Inc. for notification delivery. You can disable notifications through the App, where available, or through your device settings.

8. Support Emails and Voluntary Communications

If you email us at [email protected] or otherwise contact us for support, we will receive the information you choose to provide, such as your email address, message content, screenshots, device details, or diagnostic information you voluntarily include. We use this information only to respond to your request, troubleshoot issues, maintain records, and improve the App.

9. Website and Hosting Logs

If you visit https://www.banishsubs.com or related pages, our website host or infrastructure providers may process standard technical information such as IP address, browser type, device type, referring page, timestamps, and basic server logs. This information is used for security, reliability, and website operation. The App itself remains local-first as described above.

10. Third-Party SDKs and Service Providers

BanishSubs does not include advertising SDKs or third-party analytics SDKs for targeted advertising. The App may include service providers required for app operation, purchase validation, entitlement management, app distribution, notifications, or platform functionality, including Apple, Google, RevenueCat, Expo, and operating system services.

These providers process information according to their own terms and privacy policies. We select providers that are appropriate for the limited purposes described in this Policy.

11. Data Retention and Deletion

Subscription records stored locally remain on your device until you delete them, clear app data, restore/reset the device, or uninstall the App. Backup or export files remain wherever you store them until you delete them.

Purchase and entitlement records may be retained by Apple, Google, RevenueCat, or us as necessary for purchase validation, customer support, accounting, fraud prevention, legal compliance, and platform requirements.

Support emails and voluntary communications may be retained for as long as reasonably needed to respond to your request, maintain business records, resolve disputes, or comply with legal obligations.

12. Data Security

Local App data is protected by your device operating system sandbox and device security controls. We recommend using a passcode, biometric lock, device encryption, and current operating system updates.

No method of storage or transmission is completely secure. Because your subscription records are local, protecting your device and any backup/export files is especially important.

13. Children’s Privacy

BanishSubs is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the App. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us through a support email or other communication, please contact us and we will take appropriate action.

14. International Users

BanishSubs may be available in multiple countries through Apple and Google. Locally stored subscription records are not transferred to Lumivera Solutions Inc. servers. Purchase validation, app store distribution, support communications, and website hosting may involve processing in countries where Apple, Google, RevenueCat, our email provider, website host, or other service providers operate.

15. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or receive a copy of personal information that an organization holds about you. Because subscription records in BanishSubs are stored locally, most control over those records is exercised directly in the App or through your device settings.

For privacy questions or requests relating to information we may hold, such as support emails or purchase-related records we can access, contact us at [email protected]. We may need enough information to verify and process your request. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.

16. Canada, EEA/UK, and California Notes

Canada: Lumivera Solutions Inc. is based in Alberta, Canada. We aim to handle personal information in accordance with applicable Canadian privacy laws, including PIPEDA where applicable.

EEA/UK: Where GDPR or UK GDPR applies, the legal basis for processing limited personal information may include performance of a contract, legitimate interests such as security and support, legal compliance, or consent where required.

California: We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising. We do not use the App to collect personal information for targeted advertising.

17. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, especially if we add new features, providers, or data practices. When we make material changes, we will update the Effective Date and may provide notice in the App or on our website. If a future feature requires subscription records to leave your device, we will explain the change clearly and request consent where required by law.
